How to reach us

The office line is 08 9306 1656, staffed weekdays. For after hours and genuine emergencies, ring 0421 768 842 and somebody will answer.

Email info@powerdriveroofing.com.au, or use the form below. Photographs attached to an enquiry speed a quote up considerably and a picture from the ground is usually enough to tell us what we are dealing with.

We are at 24 Pintabona Drive, Sinagra and we cover the whole Perth metropolitan area from Two Rocks to Mandurah.

What happens after you get in touch

We book a time that suits you and somebody attends. The inspection takes about an hour on a typical single storey home, longer on complex rooflines or where access is difficult.

You do not need to be home, though it helps if you can point out where the problem shows itself inside. Access to the roof space is useful, so an unobstructed manhole makes a real difference.

Afterwards you get photographs of what we found and a written itemised quote. No charge for any of that and no pressure afterwards. Quotes stay open for a reasonable period so nobody is pushed into deciding on the day.

What to tell us when you call

Your suburb, because it genuinely changes what we expect to find. Coastal, hills, river flats and the reactive clay belt each produce different problems.

Roughly when the house was built, or what the roof looks like. Concrete tile, terracotta or metal.

What the roof is actually doing. Where the water appears inside, whether it happens in any rain or only when wind is behind it and whether it started recently or has been going on for years.

Whether anything has been done to the roof lately, including solar panels or air conditioning, because new penetrations are a common source of new leaks.

Two minutes of that on the phone frequently shortens the whole job.

Suburbs and travel

We cover the metropolitan area without travel surcharges within it, from Two Rocks and Yanchep in the far north through to Mandurah in the south and east into the hills as far as Mundaring, Roleystone and Gidgegannup.

Short drives keep small jobs affordable and most of ours are small jobs. A single slipped tile in Girrawheen is worth attending. The same tile three hours away is not and we would rather tell you that than pad a quote to justify the trip.

Every suburb has its own page on this site describing what roofs actually do there, which is drawn from the work rather than written to a template.

Getting a quote you can actually compare

Ask every contractor for the same things and the differences between quotes usually explain themselves. The roof area and ridge metreage as measured rather than estimated. The product name, number of coats and film build where a coating is involved. Whether bedding and pointing is included or quoted separately. What repairs are in scope and what happens if more are found.

Then compare the scopes rather than the totals. A cheaper quote is frequently a different job and the gap is usually treatment time, film build or repairs excluded.

We are happy to give a second opinion on somebody else's quote, including telling you that it was reasonable. That happens regularly.

Booking, timing and what to expect

Ordinary enquiries generally get an inspection within a few days. Active leaks jump the queue and after a widespread storm we triage by risk rather than by call order.

Coating and restoration work needs dry weather and a dry curing window, so the practical season runs roughly September through May. Booking during autumn is easier and cheaper to schedule than chasing a gap between winter fronts.

Repairs continue year round, weather permitting and emergency attendance happens whenever it must rather than when it suits a calendar.

Payment is a modest deposit securing materials, then progress payments tied to completed stages, with the balance once you have inspected the finished work. Large sums demanded before anybody reaches the roof are not how we operate.

Common reasons people ring

A stain has appeared on a ceiling. Tiles look out of line from the driveway. Gutters overflowed during the last downpour. A building inspection flagged something and the wording was alarming.

Somebody knocked on the door claiming to have noticed damage from the street and a second opinion seems sensible. That is a good instinct and the second opinion costs nothing.

A quote arrived recommending full replacement and the number was startling. Bring it with you when we attend. We will tell you where we agree with it, which happens more often than owners expect.

Solar panels are being installed shortly and somebody suggested checking the roof first. That is the cheapest phone call in the whole project, because a roof problem discovered under a new array costs considerably more to reach.

Rated 4.9 across 206 verified Google reviews. Our profile carries the complete record including photographs customers posted and reading it is a better guide than anything published on our own site.

We service the entire Perth metropolitan region, covering roughly one hundred and fifty kilometres of coastline and everything inland to the Darling Scarp.

If it is an emergency

Ring 0421 768 842 rather than emailing.

Before we arrive: stay out of any room with a sagging or bulging ceiling, because plasterboard holding water fails suddenly and it is heavy. If water is anywhere near light fittings or wiring, switch that circuit off at the board.

Then move what matters, contain the water where you safely can and photograph everything before anything gets covered. Those photographs are what an insurer needs to see.

Do not climb onto a wet roof. Nothing you can see from up there justifies the risk.
