Two warranties, not one
When Powerdrive Roofing restores a roof with the Dulux AcraTex system, the finished job is backed by two separate warranties, and they cover different things. A coating can be sound while the preparation underneath it was rushed, and preparation can be perfect while a product fails, so the two are kept apart on purpose and you receive both at the end of the job.
It means two separate pieces of paper at the end of the job: the Dulux product warranty covering the coating system, and our own 10-year workmanship warranty covering how it was prepared and applied. Why accreditation is the gate
Powerdrive Roofing is an accredited applicator for the Dulux AcraTex roof restoration system. That is not a badge for the website, it is what makes the manufacturer’s product warranty available on your roof. Dulux only extends its AcraTex roofing warranty through applicators on its registered applicator network, so the same coating applied by an unaccredited operator does not carry it. If a quote names a premium coating but the applicator is not accredited to apply it, the product warranty you think you are buying may not exist.
Restoration, not just a coat of paint
The warranty only means something because of what happens before the coating goes on. On a tile roof that is re-bedding and re-pointing the ridge caps, replacing broken tiles, and a proper clean; on a metal roof it is treating corrosion and resealing before any colour is applied. The Dulux system is the last step, not the whole job, and the workmanship warranty covers that groundwork. That is why the two warranties sit side by side rather than as one.
What to check before you sign, with any roofer
Ask three questions of anyone quoting a roof restoration. First, which specific coating system is being applied, by name. Second, is the company an accredited applicator for that system, and can they show it on the manufacturer’s own find-an-applicator listing. Third, what does their workmanship warranty cover, in writing, and for how long. Honest answers to those three are the difference between a warranty that will be honoured and a line on a quote that will not.
