- Lift the tiles. We remove the tiles either side of the valley to get proper access — you can’t repair a valley from on top of it.
- Replace the iron. A new valley in the correct profile and a corrosion-resistant grade, bedded and lapped so water runs down it, not under it.
- Re-flash and re-seat. The junction is re-flashed and the tiles re-seated and re-pointed so the whole detail sheds water cleanly.
